Make a Difference!
Join e-NABLE Alliance! Give the World a Helping Hand!
The ENABLE Alliance, also known as Alliance for Project Based Learning Solutions (APBLS) is a 501c3 non-profit, dedicated to supporting the global e-NABLE Community of volunteers, schools, scout troops, FIRST Robotics teams and e-NABLE chapters worldwide who are using 3D printing technology to create positive change in the world!
We are dedicated to supporting underserved communities, with a focus on empowering women and other minorities by helping them develop valuable skills and gain access to new technologies that will help them realize their full potential.
THIS IS E-NABLE:
E-NABLE IS A METHOD.
“The E-NABLE METHOD” uses our method of inclusive, human centered design and alliance with open movements (open source, citizen science, open hardware…) to share solutions and innovate iterations faster.
E-NABLE IS A MOVEMENT.
“The E-NABLE MOVEMENT” applies inclusive, human-centered problem solving to address the needs of individuals or communities. Volunteers and recipients are both able to use service learning and access to a wide network of support to access technologies and create sustainable local solutions.
E-NABLE IS A COMMUNITY.
The digital e-NABLE ecosystem is decentralized and includes many communities of practice. Some projects and groups are distributed networks for activities, education and research.
All ages and abilities are welcome! Our community includes families, friends and medical team members of need knowers, and assistive devices. We include students, youth groups and highly-trained profesionals, volunteering as designers, makers and testers, translators, instructors and support staff.
Together we share open source designs instructions and curriculum shared using a creative commons license. We innovate customized solutions that we always give away for free.
We use emerging technology, affordable household items, and service learning to create positive change in the world!
In the process, many find mentors, gain personal experience that shapes their educational and professional outlook, and develop workforce skills with emerging technologies, including: robotics, 3D scanning, 3D printing, plastics recycling, wearables, lasers, coding, the internet of Things/loT, blockchain.
We are dedicated to supporting underserved communities, with a focus on empowering women and other minorities with valuable skills and access to new technologies.
To share ideas, help each other develop skills, promote teamwork and foster collaborative networking and innovation.
To provide outreach support, help others to develop knowledge and skills and offer peer coaching and recognitions of individual and organizational impact.
To impart knowledge, inspire individuals to enhance their education and careers and support strategic problem solving.
