WAYS TO GIVE
Thank you for coming to this page to find out how you can sustain the work of this community and the e-NABLE Movement!
The ENABLE Alliance has been designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, tax exempt. Your donations are tax deductible.
e-NABLE volunteers usually are self-funded, and shipping costs can cause shock and delays. Your gift can be the difference between people getting devices and access to technology or perpetuating need. Its that simple.
Your return on your investment is huge: touching the lives of people who need the devices ripples out. It reaches family and friends, the community where they live and work. It changes us, the community that learns and grows every time we collaborate with need-knowers and device users to make the next device better than the one that came before.
The e-NABLE community engages in distance learning, makes multimedia materials, advances community research and development, makes open source devices and gives them away for free. Maria Esquela, Ivan Owen and others created the Enable Alliance to sustain and grow the resources for the whole community, including the website at the heart of our community: www.enablingthefuture. org. We also would like to serve as a fiscal sponsor if possible, and pass through the entire contribution received to the donors’ intended project.
Together we can help more people faster, share the knowledge and feedback that grows our skills, and nurture professional and emerging scientists in our community.
Designate e-NABLE Alliance and Keep On Keeping On
AMAZON SMILE
When you shop at smile.amazon.com, 0.5% of your purchase is matched and donated to the charity of your choice. For every $5000 spent by people who designate us, we will get about $25. For a crowdsourcing community, we can see the power of what we do together, even as others leave money on the table because it is too little to them.
If you are not already an Amazon Smile member, please sign up at smile.amazon.com and select your favorite charity to start generating donations, at no cost to you.
Open the app and find 'Settings' in the main menu (☰). Tap on 'AmazonSmile' and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone.
Happy shopping!

In-Kind Service
If you would like to calculate the value of the time you donate, please complete the area of the form that identifies your hourly rate for in-kind service.
In-Kind Material Donations
There are other in-kind donations that are very helpful.
Travel Points and Sponsorship: One key item on our wishlist for airline miles is bringing recipients and volunteers together for more detailed in-person measurement, design, construction and fitting. Travel sponsorships help families get to camps and other events in e-NABLE and for people with limb differences, magnifying your support by also helping self-advocates become trusted ambassadors to other people with limb differences. Donating travel points also brings speakers to the community for special training and consultation.
Wishlists, gift cards: If you would like to donate material goods, contact to coordinate and obtain a receipt and recognition; we may ask you to donate directly to a project or location where your donation is urgently needed rather than delay aid and add to our carbon footprint burning fuel in shipping twice.
Please see our wishlist of supplies and gift cards for various programs, donate by shopping from our Amazon wish list.

Network for Good: Support Device Recipients and Candidates at Camp eNABLE
Celebrate the e-NABLE community and movement and consider targeted giving on e-NABLE’s own crowdfunding platform. e-NABLE Alliance is committed to holding more recipient oriented events as part of its Camp e-NABLE programming. We have partnered with Different Heroes, which also tracks device recipient feedback and outcomes while preserving the privacy of device users and their families.
Designating support for Camp e-NABLE directly helps device candidates and recipients who make their own assistive device, and people who need access to technology and mentors to make a device to give someone who needs it – all in the context of collaborating together with advisors and trained staff, and enjoying camp fun. It also helps the families of children with limb differences to enjoy fun activities that are also functional tests and ways to develop workforce skills in service projects.
Make Your Own Campaign
Click here to review e-NABLE Network for Good project sites for news, blog postings, and give your support.
We Network for Good to launch our own giving campaigns and help members of the community find their voice. You can tell your own story and launch your own challenges and fundraising campaigns and updates, too. As a 501(c)3, we can act as your fiscal sponsor, collecting tax deductible donations on your behalf. You can continue to update your page with pictures and text to update people following your progress and your work.
Network for Good pages make it easy to direct and customize giving. Individuals and chapters can post needs, describe activities, research projects or workgroups, chapter development or mission trips. After their page is reviewed and approved, they can link to their crowdfunding campaign.
If you would like to tell your own story and have your own giving challenge, follow step-by step prompts and editing templates of text. Create links you can share with others. You can also generate a quick code to embed your campaign elsewhere on the web.
Donors can give any amount on a one-time or recurring basis.
Please consider recurring giving, because this helps with planning projects and directing support to the areas you are concerned about:
- The general fundraising effort for the Enable Alliance
- Support for Christian Silva and Fabrilab in Bogota, Columbia.
- RJ’s Plantation, Florida Mission Project in India
- During Giving Tuesday and this holiday season, our eNABLE Alliance campaign supports our partnership with Different Heroes and Camp e-NABLE Programs.
